JSC 303 Trailing suction hopper dredger GATEWAY
1. Trailing suction hopper dredger GATEWAY or WILLEM VAN ORANJE (JSC 303) is now available at JSC ,scale 1:250. This is waterline (with two options - light or full displacement) or full hull model. This model was published in co-operation with Dutch Publisher Scaldis a few years ago and now you can get it in JSC. Additionally you can get lasercut parts: 303a-L - parts of latticeworks, winches and gantries, rudder domes' frameworks, davits, ladders, anchors, anchor chains etc.; 303b-L - lasercut framework, 303c-L - lasercut railings.
At our webstore you can see photos of all kits pages (excluding written instruction) - to give you some idea of what is inside the kit. Also photos of built model. 2. We introduced two new products: UHU Power glue, the most commonly used glue by JSC crew (transparent, fast and super strong all-purpose glue) and liquid cyanoacrylate (CA) adhesive glue "superglue". 3. Self-healing cutting mats A3 and A4 and tweezers are back in stock . |

That is an impressive piece of maritime machinery, entirely worthy of a JSC model.

That's brilliant. Wonder what the other 2 options look like?!
These JSC models just keep improving! Looking forward to new releases.. good that you cooperate with JSC. I'm in the middle of their Statendam 1:250 - its ok, but it could be improved a lot by JSC's hull strength method, diagrams and detailing. |

There is something you should know before giving all the credit to JSC.
If it wasn't for Scaldis, this model would never have appeared on the JSC-site. It was Scaldis who gave all the information of this unusual ship to JSC and asked them if they were willing to do this ship. The model itself exists already for quite some time and I have seen it been built by several Dutch builders. You can also find pictures on the Scaldis site. On the most beautiful built I know the ship was seperated by a glass plate into two halfs with the full hull part underwater, together with the piping and a lot of sand!! This model was shown on the exhibition of Dutch paper modellers which was held each year in November at Nieuwegein (near Utrecht). It has now been moved to a large exhibition centre at Houten, which is also near Utrecht. I hope to be there this November. You can find me at the Scaldis stand. If covid is conquered of course. So this is not a new model, but has now been re-issued by JSC. Think twice before you order this unusual vessel. It is very difficult indeed!!!! Hans van de Pavoordt. |

This is good information, but Kasia made clear at the very beginning that it was a Scaldis model: "This model was published in co-operation with Dutch Publisher Scaldis . . ."
