Kampfflieger B-47E in 1:48

Roman Vasilyev just delivered my e-copy of his latest release (and his largest to date.) It is a gorgeous B-47E in natural metal (rendered as pale grey) over anti-flash white. There are two pages of construction diagrams and eighteen more pages of parts. My only comment to Roman was that the zinc chromate interior color seemed too brown - easy enough to recolor if he does not change it. This just opens the door for more projects of this size...B-29, B-50, KC-97, C-119, etc., etc.

Great model, Roman!

In his email, Roman asked for feedback. I agree with Ron's assessment, and I'll add that I think the blue in the national insignia is a little washed out. Could be darker...

But still a stellar effort! Yippee!

Mike

Ill add that comment to the star field ribbon in the SAC logo as well. It's too gray.

If it helps, I used HTML #263032 for Insignia Blue and HTML #244C70 for the SAC band blue and the fin stripes. They look good to me...but trolls have notoriously poor color vision (except for blood red - yum!)

Hi Roman,
my first impression is a fantastic model.
Sufficiently detailed instructions.
