New AFV's at Modelik

Modelik is showing their newest models the T35 and the T35A Russian heavy Tanks.

Looks like a new design rather than a recycle of the Modelcard T-35. The T-35A has never been modeled in card before (afaik).

Impressive amount of detail in the white model shot - but 33 * A3 pages - and 28.29 Euro (wow).

Regards,

Charlie

I haven't built any paper models on the difficulty scale of this one, but it is one of my favorite tanks and it certainly looks like they did a fantastic job on it. Guess I'll have to get one for my retirement years!

Did you pick up how big the T-35 model is....... 389mm long (15.3" for the non-metricated) - you're going to need at least an A3 cutting mat for that one. The difference between the two models seems to be the turrets - the T-35 has the early cylindrical turrets and the T-35A (should be T-35M38) the later conical turrets.

I guess you have to do what everyone else does - work up to it with models of increasing complexity.

Considering that Modelik is generally not up to the Halinski Gold standard, there are some notable exceptions, 28.29 Euro is a tad steep for me. That works out to be around $45.00 US as much as I like the model it is not going on my “I’ll buy it just to see what it looks like“ list.

Charlie, Speaking of reprints have you seen the new Halinski Sdkfz 7/1 I’m wondering if it is a reprint of the GPM 127 14/96.

I think the Halinski SdKfz 7s ( they've released both the 7/1 and 7/2 versions [37mm gun] ) are revisions of the models Halinski published in the 90s. I remember your build of the original 7/2.

Charlie
