Yacht America by Fly Model
Hi all!
Well, I decided to get this forum started with a new acquisition (but not a new model - not really sure when this was issued): "America" by Fly Model/Gomix Scale: 1:100 Parts: not many Two pages of instructions, 3 pages of parts (12" x 16 1/2 " pages) America cover.jpg America drawing.jpg This looks like a fairly simple model, with a lot of potential to add to it. Sails are included, but I think I would make them from cloth. Masts and bowsprit would be from dowels and it looks like blocks would have to be supplied. Color is very nice and crisp (including copper hulls that have some time in the water). I am contemplating this being my next build, but who knows when I will get around to that!
