Got this a few months back and forgot about it.Did some organizing out in the shed...and there it was
The T72 is known for damaging the crew....but it makes a nice model. This kit contains a lot of parts and have a lot of drawings. And the prefab wheels Should be allowed with more than 12 pics to make reviews more in one piece... Last edited by Jason; 09-23-2008 at 10:55 PM. Reason: Raised limit on pics that can be attached. |

I'm not a huge armor fan, but I will be watching this build. In the mid 80s, I was able to climb around, inside and out of a T-72 at the Red Flag Threat Museum at Nellis AFB, Nevada. It was one of many East Block pieces of equipment there for those with the proper classification to get to know.
I don't remember a lot about the interior, but I do remember thinking it was somewhere I would not want to be for an extended period of time. 8v) Yes...I flew a desk for the most part. Good luck with the build.

I will discuss this with Jason, and see if we can up the number of pictures. I know that we have limited them for security concerns too. Rick

You can piece 2-3 of them together as 1 and post those. Given that the size in pixels are not an issue.

I recall reading somewhere that the height limit for Soviet armoured personnel was only 5'4" (1.6m) and that the T-72 had a nasty habit of the automatic loader attempting to chamber the gunner's arm

Pics limit raised to 20.
Looks to be an interesting build. I'm amazed that you were able to find the wooden wheels as that model has been out of circulation for ages. Jason |

The wheels should make things easier. They would to me at least. A lot less cutting. Looking forward to watching Johnny

Kinda reminds me of the tank in the movie The Beast. Although I think that one was a modified T55. I'm not up on the major models of post war AFVs.
