Great reference, Leif. Thanks for putting it all together like that. I see that Maly Modelarz also did two versions of the PO-2 over the years. Those, plus the KK, BPM, and Fly kits are the only ones I'm aware of. Anyone know of any more?

civilian version

This is my first post here, I am interested in finding documentation on this aircraft. I believe that there was a civilian version with a fully enclosed canopy?

regards
Matthew

Gentlemen, I arrived to this site while researching information on the PO-2. I am an RC scale builder and i intend to build a 1/4 scale flying model of this wonderful aircraft.
I have never run into such an amazing quantity and quality of detailled information collected on a single plane in a single web site. You saved me hours of research and contributed immensely to the quality of the model i will build.
Thank you very much, to all of you.

here is a link for a zip of a Russian aviation magazine from 2000, a long article with many photos. found this photo of a Hungarian PO 2 model on the web, I may repaint one of my other kits to this scheme.

Here is a video clip of a flight in the machine you plan to build, with that particular colour scheme:

The quality is very good, and you get good views also of the cockpit. Very nice.

Here's another one with your chosen aircraft, HA-PAO:

Is the Kolekcia kit a Polish aircraft or a Russian aircraft from a Polish unit ?

This Po-2 belonged to 2 Pułk Lotnictwa Bombowego "Kraków" in 1944-1945. It was a Polish unit flying Soviet aircraft. Markings are in the same convention as Polish squadrons flying within RAF.

Which would translate into the 2nd Polish Night Bomber Regiment Krakow/Krakau.

Not that I understand Polish, it's just that while Gremir was posting, I was looking up how Slawomir Wojcik has introduced the model on his site (in German: 2. Polnischen Nachtbomberregiments Krakow/Krakau). Couldn't resist adding that, now that I looked it up.

Just to avoid misunderstandings, we are talking about the Kartonowa Kolekcja 1/33 model depicted above, not the Hungarian model from a few posts above. That one is MUCH simpler.
