Still have this one in stock. Its a big one, not a A4 print. Think I'll try this one first before I start the Titanic.....

These were Dutch models from the '50ties. They were aimed at boys from ca. 10 years of age. Those were the days when plastic models had not yet appeared in the shops. The introduction of affordable Airfix models (plastic bags first, then boxes) virtually put an end to simple paper modelling in our country.
Originals Veritas prints are rare - and not very attractive because of the very thick card they were printed on, but most of them have been reprinted by Scaldis, and rearranged to fit A3 or even A4 size paper. You will find pictures on my site zeistbouwplaten.nl, navy and merchant navy.

Diderick is right, but they are accurate in their depiction of the real thing. But the models could with a lot of additional detailing, such as railing, piping, ladders and staircases etc, That would really improve their appearance.
For building, I would recommend having your local copyshop make a good colour-corrected copy, to eliminate the yellowing sheen, and to get a better paper quality.

Veritas models, old, where on terrible cardboard, the reprints of Veritas by Scaldis are now printed on very good paper/cardboard. A few veritas models had got a facelift, more details etc, like aircraftcarrier Karel Doorman, cruisers; De Ruyter and Zeven Provinciën.
passengersships like Nieuw Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Statendam, Prinsendam, all in scale 1/350 and offset print. The same ships, digital printed in scale 1/250. Alle the other Veritas models still like the where in 50/60 and all digital printed. Good model for startend builders and the builders who can make extra details

I have copy of this kit framed and hanging on the wall of my study. It's an original one from the fifties. The material is stained, dirty and brittle, but I like the way it is presented.
