Rms queen elizabeth------jsc 413

Newest model from JSC arrived today and it looks a beauty.RMS Queen Elizabeth at 1;400 scale waterline model.Model will build to a length of 76cms at this scale,Model consists of 3 pages of diagrams,5 pages of instructions in english and polish and 16 pages of parts with a total of 287 parts.Incredible details and heaps of small parts so not for a beginner. There are lasercut parts availible from JSC to cover frames and small deck details i.e ladders ,doors, and davits.I believe this is the first commercial model of her released for sale and eagerly awaited. This will be a challenge even for experienced builders.Accept the challenge and the result will be a fine model of this true classic liner-----enjoy

And yet JSC claim 1128 parts?

In cooperation with Scaldis, since a few days there is also a rescaled 1;250 version of the QUEEN ELIZABETH available at kartonmodellshop.de. Number of parts is the same, length is 126cm.

Cheers for the clarification on the parts number.
I'm so tempted to build the QE but the 26 lifeboats put me off.
I so hate repetition work, can't be bothered with anything with more than 4 wheels.
Then this morning I awake to find she is now available in 1/250th.
This gets more tempting by the minute.
26 lifeboats to build and somewhere to display a 1.26 meter ship?????

Mmmmmmmmmmmm finger is hovering over the buy now button??

just ordered it with both laser cut accessories,
I am nor a beginner or a experienced modeller .
my plan is to build the main ship quickly and and build the lifeboats and other minute detail slowly as I too don't like building same parts over and over again.
also should I use cardboard for the hull and decks and which plastic rod should I use for the masts?

26 copies of a lifeboat... could justify a paper cutting or scan and cut machine.
