Erla-5 1:50

Hello!
I`d like present you my next design. German aircraft Erla-5 from 1934.
Unfortunately, there is very little information about this aircraft. On Wikipedia there is nothing. I just found a description in German:
LuftArchiv.de - Das Archiv der Deutschen Luftwaffe
and in Czech:
http://www.mo-na-ko.net/images5/Erla5_01.jpg

Best regards.

A nice looking monoplane, Krzychu74.
It has the look of a Miles Magister, but seems to be about 15% smaller.
Out of interest, I read the Czech article, and saw that a Zundapp Z9-92 30kW motor was used by the Erla 5D, and I'm guessing that you plan on your model being a 5D?

It is certainly an elegant little aircraft, and I look forward to seeing it evolve.

Kind and Respectful Regards Krzychu74 my friend, Uyraell.

Thank you for bringing this aircraft to out attention, Krzychu. The minute I saw the photos at the LuftArchiv.de site I thought "This is a Klemm L25 as a single-seater". Later I read one of the captions which said that Hanns Klemm was indeed inspecting the aircraft. Goes to show how a successful design will influence others.

It was also interesting to read about the 3-continent flight in this light aircraft, and the 1900+ km record flight from Friedrichshafen to Vännäs in northern Sweden. Extra fuel tanks, of course.

- L.

Hello!
Thank you Friends for your kind words.
Uyraell: I design Erla-5A. Erla-5D had a more aerodynamic fuselage (more oval cross-section on the top part of fuselage). Here is website about restored Erla-5D:
Erla 5 HB-SEX

Model is ready for test.
Erla is simple model and she has 20 numbered parts on 2 sheets with parts and one sheet with instruction.

Best regards.

Thank you Krzychu74 for the link to the Erla -5 pictures, they were a pleasure to see.

This Erla-5 A of yours is certainly coming along nicely.

I like the colour scheme you have chosen for it, and the layout of the parts looks very neat.

Kind and Respectful Regards Krzychu my friend, Uyraell.

Hello!
I got this model to the test. Work on it took me only 2 days. The model is very simple, the components fit perfectly.
