S.S. "Mongolia" 1:400

Hello!
Unfortunately, recent events connected with my immediate family were mingled ranks and took away my desire to do in the near future Costa Concordia (no worries, I will return to it as soon as I get to put together a little).
However, that does not quite moulder I decided to take a workshop something as simple and fast design.
The choice fell on the Russian hospital ship s.s. "Mongolia" from 1904.

This time, the beginning of the report from building will be a little different than usual because instead of boring renders, I would like to invite you to watch the first part of showing how a such a model:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4cWsV9L-bk

Later, when the model will be tested will be the classic pictures from test building.
I hope you enjoy this "movie" presentation.

Best regards.

I'm glad to see this project. I very much like ships of this era.

Your video is fascinating. Whenever I see members of the forum showing how they design models I am reminded of the 1950s Kalmbach publication, Ships and the Sea magazine. They had a regular feature on building ship "models" from photographs or plans with a ruler and pencil and a pair of dividers. The results were like a crude version of the computer images of a model during the design process.

Hello!
Don: thank you very much. My first projects I have made also with the use of a ruler, a compass, set square (triangle), protractor, french curve and pencils. Those were the good old days.

Ok, time for second part of "movie":

Hello!
I see, however, that my idea of the report from designing in the form of films except Don an matt77 (thank you Friends for your interest ) anyone else did not like. Ok, no problem. From today and in next parts this thread I will give you renderings only.

Best regards.
