I just saw the movie "Captain Phillips" and can't wait to buy your model.
Ok, I know that your Andes isn't the "Maersk Alabama", but it belongs at the same category of ships and looks like very similar.
When the model will be available?

Thanks, Nando

PS: ... and your is far bigger

Thanks Herky for the hint. I looked for container ship models around the net even before I saw the movie.
I found many of them, for free also, and the Maersk Alabama is between them. But all of them are waterline models and I'm looking for a complete hull.
The Andes is the first I found and it has the right level of details. If you have any other suggestion it will be welcome.

Thanks, Nando

Here some link at what i found before.

Herky, you are the one! Thanks for the hint. I did more researches and I found this thread and it seems that the Lisboa unfortunately is a waterline model, but it is very detailed with full interior on the main deck. I found also an interesting video of a sister ship " strongly rolling in the North Sea".

Best, Nando

thats unsual for hmv to do it as a waterline.most of their ships give you two options.have you checked it out on the hmv site in case that guy in thread was just building the waterline version.mayby another member has the answer

The HMV site only shows the OPDR Lisboa as a waterline model and there is no mention of a full-hulled version.

I'm not sure but I found this image depicting a page of the instructions where we can see a waterline model and in many cases the covers of the HMV models are depicting the hull where it is foreseen ( see Seatrout, Altmark, Nordic, ... ). The question is open
