Mid week update:
Before skinning this model. Some windows need glazing. The largest of which is in the floor First step is to paint the reverse side. Don't won't any white showing. I used Aircraft Grey/Green (BS283) Seems close enough Next was to stick some double sided tape down over the window area. Then cut the hole for the window out. Any white edges were touched up using a matching grey. Looks good. There is also a small insert to add to the hole in the aircraft floor. That's all the skins cut out and edge coloured. The more keen eyed of you, will notice the complete lack of tabs. The next stage should be fun Tim |

Nothing to support the bottom corners? That would worry me more than the lack of tabs.

Further to my last post. It has been pointed out to me that there are indeed tabs and joining strips on this kit
Thought it would be a good idea to form and join the fuselage skins off the airframe Trying to avoid 'denting' any of the panels. This way I can work on both sides of the fuselage skins. It seems to be going well, so far. Next bit should be fun. fitting the skin to the frame Tim |

Looks like a great idea Tim. Hope it works out as good as it seems.

Last time we left the builder attempting to install his one-piece fuselage covering
Not one of my better ideas. It didn't fit and has cost me a week of build time. No alternative but to fit the parts one by one. Going quite slowly as there are some very fragile parts to this build Was about to install the roof when I noticed two marks At least with a download kit I can print a new part out The top rear section went on well. Though I did glue in stages. Green strips are to help keep things in place. More shortly Tim |

First of the sides to go on.
Went on well, a little bit of trimming was required. Second side again posed no problems. It's starting to look like an aeroplane Laminated the turret ring to card. Should help with keeping the rear turret in place and as a more secure mounting point for the two small sides. The two small side pieces are now in place. Only part left to do is the fuselage bottom.
