John Gawlik House 1:87

Hello!
I would like to present a project of a simple house in 1:87 scale. This house connecting the history of the USA and Poland. House was owned by Polish settler John (Jan) Gawlik in the village of Panna Maria.
The village Panna Maria was the first settlement set up by Polish settlers in Texas in the middle of XIX century.
More about this house you can read here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panna_Maria,_Texas
Panna Maria Historic District | Panna Maria Texas
Welcome to Panna Maria, Texas | Panna Maria Texas

and show here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpb8YHF1jmc

The model was designed by my girlfriend Monika Jantar (I made textures) and test model by Andrzej Ciepłuch.

Best regards.

That is very cool. Warsaw, Missouri was also settled by Polish immigrants (You probably guessed that by the name of the town). I wonder if it would be worth researching

Hello!
Vermin_King: thank you.
I was looking at the site of this village (Warsaw, Missouri). Besides The Truman Dam I did not find too many interesting monuments there.
I think it is more interesting is Warsaw in Indiana state:

Monika is already planning another interesting projects.

New photos of John Gawlik House.

Best regards.

Great project, Krzysztof! You seem to be equally adept at ships, airplanes, and structures.

Interesting model. I live about an hour and a half from Panna Maria, TX. I will have to pass through there one day when I'm in the area.

Hello!
Thank you for the kind words.

Don: this isn`t my project. This model was made by my girlfriend Monika. As I wrote I made textures only.

3Turner: if you know any other interesting sights in your area, please let me know
If you're gonna Panna Maria, please shoot some photos.

Time for new photos.

I sure will. The next time I have work near there, I will stop by and take some photos.

There are many interesting sights here in Texas in Polish settlements which have many historical structures. Texas has a program to record historical locations: State Historical Markers | THC.Texas.gov - Texas Historical Commission | Texas Historical Markers | THC Markers | Historical Markers in Texas

Here are three Polish related locations:
