Canada Paper Modelers - cpm

The goal of cpm is to connect Canadian Card Modelers.
With enough local members, we could hopefully organize meetings or events related to Paper/Card Modeling.

Personally, I am located in Southern Ontario.
You can reach me by email at [email protected]

Everyone is welcome to join our Facebook group
Facebook/canadapapermodelers

and from there, you will also find links to the cpm group at Yuku Message Boards.
canada paper modelers home

If you know of "Strictly Canadian" paper models...kits with a purely Canadian theme or designs somehow connected to Canada,
I invite you to post info and links in the "Strictly Canadian" section of the cpm Message Boards.

You are also welcome to organize your own regional modelers group and make it part of the canada paper modelers group.
You can post info at the cpm site or contact me if you need help.

Just wanted to give this Topic a bump....

for all you Canadian Modelers or just Fans of Canadian themed Models
the canadapapermodelers (cpm) Group now makes its home at the CutandFold Forum

This is also where you can find the "Directory of Canadian themed Models".

Please drop by and add your name to the Group.
I am hoping to organize a Canadian "event" of some sort in the near future.
And, please make sure you add any Canadian (or Canadian themed) Model links to the Directory.

I just checked out your forum (havent signed up yet) what a great idea with the theme!,.. I cant what to see the harvard by Ken Uhrig digitized! if it was repainted like bud granley's harvard that would be awesome,.. would be easy with someone of your caliber! and seeing as you have the "goldennhawks" artwork already created for the sabre i wonder if it would be an easy transition to bring it over to the harvard! lots of people over the years have loved his performances!

great!!!

I finished digitizing and modifying that Harvard kit about two months ago.
(there are pics of the finished model on my forum)

but as far as I am concerned it will not be released.
(just a big waste of time if you ask me)

if I ever hear from Ken again, I will probably let him know that I am going to use the new digital template
to produce a Texan kit of my own, but the updated version of his Harvard will remain a dream (lol).

...
and that Golden Hawks Sabre I did was just a repaint of Kamplfeigers model available at ecardmodels.
I was excited to do that but I never had any permissions to release it.
I didn't realize when I did it, but they already had a Golden Hawks version in the store.

I was thinking about upscaling it to 1/33 and adding a few more details,
but although its a great little model, it needs too much additional work for a 1/33 scale version.
And to be honest, its too much work for a model that I don't own.

...
Not to worry though....plenty of other projects in the works.
My new P-51D will be a great candidate for some Canuck liveries too!

Another bump for this thread...

canadapapermodelers group is now officially based (for the time being) at the cutandfold Forum (HERE)

If you are interested in being part of the group, I have created a "sign up" thread,
in a dedicated area for cpm.

Just drop by, register and say hello in that thread.
Give us your name (and location)...don't post any personal info.
I'll have your email, from your registration on the forum.

Your name will be added to the Member's List that is being compiled.

If there is enough interest, we will begin forming a proper group
and I hope to put out an official newsletter.

another bump for this thread and the cpm group.

Please drop by the cutandfold forum and add your name to the "cpm Roll Call".
And don't forget to "like" us on facebook!

Another reminder that I am working in the first cpm Newsletter.
If everything goes as planned, I am hoping to send it out in October.

I will be doing some sort of review of the London Scale Model Show (IPMS)...Sept 29
and that will be included in the Newsletter.

Please feel free to make suggestions or submit articles for the newsletter.
If you want to help more with production of the newsletter, just let me know.
I'm also looking for a member to maintain the facebook page.

Just another reminder that the first issue of the cpm newsletter
will go out in October.
To receive it, by email, you must be a "member" of cpm.

To become a member of the canada paper modelers group

just visit cutandfold forums and introduce yourself in the "Roll Call" thread.
(cpm forums are at the bottom of cutandfold forums main directory)

The focus of the group is Canadian themed paper modeling

but you don't have to be "Canadian" to join the group, just interested.
