MicromodelsUSA "Turtle" 1776 Attack Sub

Fun build. The dangly thing at bottom is free-hanging anchor/ballast/emergency bouyancy device.

When I built mine, I just glued the ballast to the bottom,
but I have also seen it deployed and and instead of a thread, the modeler used a stiff wire that he bent to look like it was slack and that was actually the display stand for the model. (like it was anchored underwater...)

What a neat idea. After the contest, I may modify mine.
