Better late then never

Finally finished off the Pup. I think it turned out pretty nice. It was a time consuming build but, went together very well with no fit or any other problems (if you discount cat attacks). The kit has a nice level of detail and is an enjoyable build. It is a highly recommended purchase, available at Ecardmodels.com.

Thanks Chris for the building opportunity.

Very nicely done!

What are you using for all of the rigging?

I agree with all above, that is a neat biplane, and the rigging to the control surfaces is really nice, Douglas!

Thanks guys. Marek designs a great kit. I wish he would do some early through the fuselage monoplanes like the Fokker EIII.

The rigging is invisible thread. I blackened it with a black sharpie. I feel the diameter is more in scale than normal thread plus you don't get any frayed bits. Unfortunately it does not photograph all that well, but looks very nice in reality. Small knots and a dab of PVA hold it in the holes in the paper. A minute dab of CA glue holds it to the rollers (?).

~ Cheers
Douglas

Marek did a Fokker E.III in 1:50 a few years ago. If Chris at eCarmodels does not offer it yet I assume he will in the near future. Fitter did a free E.III that can be found at eCardmodels.
