Marek Marathon-Bristol F2B Fighter 1-33

This should be one neat looking aircraft when finished. Only one minor complaint so far, minor misfit with outer skin of fuselage but I can live with that.

Next installment of progess. Really enjoying this contest, its made me attempt challenging models that I probably would not have otherwise tried. Progress is slow, so far I have spent about 14 hours on this project.

That is one pretty interior you've made there on the quiet. The wood longerons, what are they - double layers of brown paper? Also, those exhaust tubes are exquisite! - L.

Some really nice work, and a great series of photos showing the SBS. This will be a beauty......

What I find strange is the 2nd stick in the observer's cockpit, I didn't know that the Brisfit was dual control.

That is just a minor nitpick though, a very nice build sofar.

Confirmed?

This photo seems to confirm it, right?:

The most beautiful photos of the F2B I found were here:

Be durned so it was a dual control A/C after all. Learn something new here all the time.

Rick, Poppa (smurf...?),

I didn't know either, of course. It was fun, finding out. There's an absolutely exquisite set of William Wylam drawings at the Airwar.ru site:
???????

Here are two excerpts from the first of four sheets:

Marek Marathon-Bristol F2B Fighter 1-33-f2b-wylam-1.jpg Marek Marathon-Bristol F2B Fighter 1-33-f2b-wylam-2.jpg

See the grey arrows for definite confirmation (the photo looked a little bit dodgy to me, so I searched for more confirmation).

So now we all know a tiny little bit more...

Glad I chose the Pfalz over this one! You're doing an inspiring job on this one. I wish the Pfalz had the same dimensional exhaust pipes; they really make a difference.
