Stash Liquidation

My wife and I survived the trek back to the summer home, and are more or less recovered from the 800 mile caravan with two dogs, a cooler full of tropical fish, and a very large potted plant in tow.

First on the chopping block are the Maly Modelarz kits. Please be aware that prior to 1990, the printing quality for this publisher was poor and they have not aged well. The paper is yellowed and brittle, color registration was iffy at best, and the staples immediately turned into rust. Because I removed the staples and cut the pages into A4 size for purpose of scanning, the older issues should be considered only as fillers if you are a collector. Otherwise, if one scans the pages and cleans them up in an image editor, a buildable model can still be obtained.

For pricing purposes...prior to 1990, price is set at $2.50 per issue months of the kits (for example, an issue date of 10-11/77 would be $5.00). 1990 and beyond, the price is set at $5.00 per issue months (for example, 4-5-6/05 is set at $15.00). That said, for purchases of more than three kits, I am willing to negotiate a discount. How much of a discount depends on how large the order may happen to be, whether I remember you talking to me on one of my build threads, or possibly how long it's been since I took one of my happy pills. Although the main purpose of this exercise is to see that my collection winds up in the hands of someone that will enjoy it rather than be carted down to the thrift shop, I'm not giving it away. The actual cost of mailing the purchase will be added to the negotiated kit purchase price.

About my lists....if the kit has (pending) after it, it is in negotiation with a forum member or has been posted on Ebay, and should be considered as being sold. If the kit has (sold) after it, a deal was made but I have not yet received payment. Once I receive payment, the item will be removed from the list. If, for some reason the deal falls through, I will remove the qualifier from the list. Once an inventory list is posted here, I will wait a couple of weeks before posting items from it on Ebay or possibly other sales venues. I feel you people deserve first chance.

If you wish to make a purchase from the lists, please PM me.

Unhappy From my cold, dead hands

The items marked pending in the Maly Modelarz list have sold. I will remove them from the inventory when enough further activity on the list justifies reposting it.

The next list is one of those "from my cold dead hands" moments....my accumulation of Gomix vacuformed canopies. But, really....am I ever actually going to build those kits? As with all the items here, the indicated price is for small batch (3 items or less) requests. Larger batches of wanted items will receive a discount, possibly as much as 50%, depending on how much and whether I've had a couple of nightcaps by the time the deal closes.

Darwin,

Are these canopies 1/33? I'd like the Fairy Firefly

Cheers, Ian

What an amazing accumulation! This newer digital stuff is so amazing. Print it (over and over again in my case) when you need it and it is all in the cloud, wherever that is.

Ian, except for a few of the multi-engine Maly kits, the canopies are 1/32.

I am putting the stash liquidation 'on hold' for a couple of weeks, so will not be taking any new orders until about the first of June. The doctors were able to get my hip replacements scheduled a lot sooner than I anticipated...like next week. Other than filling the orders I have already received, my time is going to be spend on clearing out enough space in the back room to put in a convalescent bed.

Trust in modern medical science and you will be fine. Heck you may even rethink selling out.
