Cleaning Out Davy Jones' Locker...
These are large format (approximately 12 x 17 inch book) paper models, mostly naval. Since they must be mailed via USPS Parcel Post instead of Media Mail, delivery will take 5-10 business days instead of the typical 3-day Priority Mail. As weight determines postage cost, most likely these lots will not be later compiled into Combo deals. Thus I decided to start a new thread. The original offerings (including Combos A and B) remain on the "Cleaning Out the Vault" thread: http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/s...out-vault.html

Fly NR120 -- Frigate USS CONSTITUTION, 1:100 scale (Note: This is somewhat of an oddity -- except for the coppered underhull, this model is colored in "bare wood" -- not Old Ironsides' black hull and white gunport striping. It looks like Fly used a traditional wood model as their color reference!) B. Fly NR122 -- Soviet Missile Destroyer SOWRIEMIENNYJ, 1:200 scale C. Fly NR140 -- WWII destroyer escorts USS JACCARD & IJN MATSU, 1:200 scale _______________________________________________ Lot LF10 -- "Wilhelmshaven Civilian Ships" -- $25.00 (All 1:250 scale waterline kits) A. Wilhelmshaven NR 1601 -- USAF B-58A Hustler, 1:50 scale C. Wilhelmshaven NR 1806 -- Fokker DR.1 (red and silver triplanes), 1:50 scale D. Fly Model NR145 -- Vickers Vimy, 1:33 scale __________________________________________________ _ Lot LF12 -- "Miscellaneous LS Kits" -- $20.00 LS -- Ocean Liner SS Rotterdam, 1:350 waterline scale LS -- St. Basil's Cathedral, Moscow, 1:160 scale __________________________________________________ __ Lot LF13 -- "FOR PAPER MODEL HISTORIANS ONLY" -- $20.00 This is a lot of four vintage Wilhelmshaven models, printed in extra-large sheets (approximately 17 x 24 inches). I'm told this is the original printed size prior to reformatting to smaller sheets. The paper is dog-eared and slightly yellowed. The models are still buildable, but these are probably best used for other decorative purposes. (Although framing a Fairey Gannet as a work of art is admittedly in questionable taste!) ;-) WM 1612 -- Fairey Gannet, 1:50 scale WM 1805 -- Arado Ar 196A-3, 1:50 scale WM 1807 -- Henschel Hs 123, 1:50 scale WM -- whale processing ship WILLEM BARENDAZ II, 1:250 scale PLUS, I'm including three rare H. G. Watkins ship models, circa 1976. They are still in fair condition, but should NOT be built due to their scarcity. These kits are for paper model historians who want examples of the "old days". These definitely lack today's "state of the art" accuracy and detail (one is printed on plain Manila card that must be hand-tinted gray), but Mr. Watkins' hand-drafted work should be remembered. US Destroyer SIMS, 1942 (with names for MORRIS, WALKE, ROE and RUSSELL) US Heavy Cruiser HOUSTON, 1943 (with names for NORTHAMPTON, CHICAGO and AUGUSTA) US Navy Battleship NEW YORK, 1937 I literally rescued these kits from being tossed into a dumpster years ago, but can no long ensure their continued preservation. They await a new caretaker. __________________________________________________ _________ Please PM if interested. I may be open to reasonable offers, as all these models in this thread need to leave. Thanks! David T. Okamura |

I would be interested int the Watkins models, but as I just purchased a 1:1 scale mixed media car and materials to repair a 1:1 scale house roof (that the original modeling crew couldn't figure out how to put on properly)…I'm a bit tapped….
