I am imagening that if RJM had been a plastic model builder, Greg's lists might have been by shelf (room?) Instead of bin!

Funny you should say that.

RJM did have a large stash of plastic models and those are being sold on commission through CPM: Charles Plastic Models | Buy Plastic Model Kits Of Aircrafts & Ships

He also had a large collection of cross stitch, puzzles, books and Diamond Dots. The disposition of which, I do not know. Ebay maybe?

Greg

I would be interested to see which books he had. Can you ask the family how and where the next time you're in contact? Thanks

RJM's son Keith writing here.

First off, Many thanks to Greg for undertaking this Herculean task. It is good to see that dad's collection of papercraft is finding new homes.

In answer to the following...

There are many books. I am looking into posting a bunch of them on ebay. Dad had a variety of interests and tended to have a collection for each. Along with his hobbies of plastic models and paper models, he picked up a bit of an appetite for history as well. A large portion of the books he collected were used to get the details right on the models he was working on. I've seen a lot of boxes around the house that say Daedalus Books and Osprey Publishing which may be publishers that are familiar to some of you. If there are specific books or book series you are interested in, I could take a look and see if they are around. My email address is [email protected]. If this issue has some interest we could/should start a new thread.

FYI, The plastic models that he had collected were being sold by Charlie's Plastic Models in recent years. There are still some of those there with a suffix of RJMxxx (I think the xxx is their way of keeping track of which box the kit is in).

I totally agree! Greg answered my PMs promptly and within days after payment the kits arrived at my house. Excellent service! It is as if this were his full time business. Thank you Greg!

Did some accounting today.

Started with over 2200 models. Currently have under 1850 models. Still a long ways to go, but got about 350 models into new homes.

Still plenty to choose from....
