my apology looks like I tagged into your thread on metal miniatures, I did not mean for that to happen. Thought I was out in a different segment of the forum.

I have been meaning to purchase some of the metal kits but so have resisted the temptation due to having the need to direct money into the new workshop space.

Kind of curious what everyone is paying for these kits. Not that expensive in Soldotna, Alaska.
Huey = $4.99
LM = $11.99

The museum here in town has a bunch of different sets from the T-34- SR-71, Mars Rover, etc, for about $5-6. I picked up the SR-71 and a Cessna 172 from a shop on Amazon for just shy of $5 each. I too wanted the SR-71 from the local museum, but they can't keep them in stock for more than a week. That is probably helped by the fact that there is a Balckbird right in your face as soon as you enter the museum.

Mike,

If you are ever near an AC Moore craft shop look online for one of their coupons. They carry quite a number of these kits and if you're really lucky you can get them for 55% off retail.

I've been buying mine at Books-A-Million. Prices are reasonable.
