Wright Flyer

Hi everyone,

Spent some family time in the "Dutch Alps" last week and at the highest point of the country, which is according to the books at an astonishing altitude of 322.5 meters above sea level, I found this tiny model of the Wright Flyer in a small tourist shop, thanks to my youngest son. It isn't exactly paper and perhaps I'm not supposed to post this one at this forum, but I thought of sharing it anyway.

It's a laser cut metal model, one small sheet only with clear instructions and neatly packed. The "Metal Earth" series also consists of a ship, tank, wind mill, Titanic, and others. It took me a few hours to build - just a nice short breakaway from the paper business. An inexcusable offense ??

Hope you enjoy the pictures .

Erik

Great job! I did this kit last year, and I had a bugger of a time. Mostly because I bent the kit in the package on accident. You have done an amazingly clean job on the fiddly little bits.

Thanks guys for your reactions. Indeed a "refreshing" breakaway from paper, but I've returned to this wonderful material in the mean time.

@ Rickstef: I wasn't sure where to post this - now I know . Thank you.

Cheers,
Erik

Great job on a complicated construction.

I have seen these in model stores while in Japan. There were a whole series on display.
