Laser etch/cutting service like Metal Earth?

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone here knew of a company that does the laser cutting/engraving that produces the Metal Earth models.
It seems to be a laser version of Photo Etching and I have a few projects that would suit this process.
Anyone know a company who does this or even better have you tried it?
Thanks for your time
John

Maker spaces sometimes have Laser Cutters and will frequently let people use them or sell the service. You could try London Hackspace in Hackney. There is also South London Makerspace at +44 20 8678 1181. Just a quick Google search away.

Most laser cutters won't work on metal because the metal reflects the laser.
However, you could coat the metal with resist and use the laser to etch away the resist and then chemically etch the metal.

Thanks for your comments. I have actually moved from London so despite it being a perfect recommendation I cannot avail of it.

I am more looking for information on requirements and tolerances as well as materials available for these types of projects.

Thanks KCinKC46 and JohnGay.

Anyone else got a recommendation?

John
