Star Wars Episode VII X-Wing

I built my very first Metal Earth kit recently, but wasn't aware at the time there was a sub-forum here where we could post pictures (thanks Rick!). So here it is, the X-Wing from the most recent Star Wars movie:-

It took me three evenings to complete and, despite not having quite the right tools for the job, I'm pretty pleased with it especially for a first effort. There are loads more of these kits available, so I can see myself building more in the future - in fact I've already got another two (the Tiger tank and Apollo LEM)!

You can see more photos via the link on my website.

That's a very cool kit, congrats!
I have the R2-D2 one.
It was fun building it although it was pure torture for me to "fold" some of the smaller parts.

Looks good. Those are fun to make, but kind of hard on the eyesight.

Thank goodness for magnification and good lighting.

I built the Mars rover kit - it seemed pretty well designed.

Very Nice. I also didn't know there was a section for these.

I have several of the metal earth star wars kits. Up to now I have the millennium falcon, star destroyer, R2D2, Vaders tie, AT-AT and the original X wing. The only one not finished is the X wing, it fell off my self and was damaged.

Ha ha, yes I know what you mean! Some of the parts were absolutely tiny, but fortunately I bought myself a mag lamp with a daylight bulb in it a few months ago. I couldn't have built this particular model without it!

Since this photo was taken I've also bought a bigger (A1) cutting mat too, which now covers most of my desk .
