Mini/Micro Fifth Element Air Taxi

For a Mini Micro contest entry I selected Airdave's model of the Fifth Element Airtaxi. I reduced the model by exactly 50% so this one will be in the Mini category. I printed the model twice - once on 65 lb cardstock and again on regular printer paper. Some of the parts are just too small to work with on the heavier paper. Thinking about it now, I suppose I could have just delaminated the cardstock and saved on ink - d'oh!

Here's an absolutely terrible picture of the printed sheets, with a ruler for size reference.

My camcorder takes pretty good macro photos, so the pics of the finished model should be much better. I have a pretty neat idea for a display base. We'll have to see how it all turns out. Finished photos before contest end.

25% is for someone with younger eyes than mine, Dave. Believe me, 50% is a stretch

Well, I printed it, although that doesn't count for much. I also printed a really nice 5th element background with buildings and hover cars. I kind of got into a modeling funk around that time, and am just now climbing out of it. I will definitely get back to it. Thanks for your interest.
