Micro Mini Competition entry FG Morane Sauliner N
Hello All,
Here's another 1/144 scale FG WW1 bird. The wife liked the colors and picked it as my next build up. This too is destined to be a game piece so I didn't intend to do the rigging but I will have to due to the weak mount of the wings making them droop. Here's some build pix. Not much note worthy of comments. G1 |

More build pix. All that's left at his point is the rigging. Luckily the model has the points marked ont he wings making this a lot easier to do. Not something i have a whole lot of experience with but I guess I gotta learn.

All done :D
Realized too late that I should have ran a pin thriugh the body into each wing for support. Oh well, next time. Rigging was fun. The bottom brace moved loosening some of the lines. I trie to heat shrink them but perhaps the nylon thread wouldn't shrink :P Oh well not too bad but it buggs me. Tagged a few spots around the landing gear to. Used too big a brush to paint the gear struts. I knew better but did it anyway :( Touch up paint didn't match up too well but at least it's on the bottom. That to buggs me, planning on re-doing this one down the road. Still a fun build. This will be my secondary standard scale from now on. 1/72 is still my primary. G1 |

Hi G1,
Another excellent build! You seem to have found a good scale to work in with the FG models, it looks a lot better this small.

Great build. I noticed a toothpick wrapped with some tape in one of the early photos, what is that for?
p.s., can't really see the sagging rigging - we are always our own biggest critics. |
