Mike ... Just bringing this site to your attention ... https://www.4dpaperairplane.com/home.html
There are some interesting designs there that could well be useful for you to adapt to kites.

Base All My Designs on Great American Airplanes
Great American Airplanes is a book bought in the early 1990's for my young son.
Bought two back then so we could each build and share techniques while doing so. Now buy them on eBay, some are less than $2 + $2.50 mailing fee. Fun book, well written, instructions help anybody see how to finish. All my models except for the rubber band catapult gliders are designed/built using the techniques learned while building the models from that book. Have 4of the books now, planning to buy more. Very similar to the 4d models if you look at the instruction pages in the photo. Best regards, Mike Bauer |

Mike - just picked up on this tread now!
I have been flying kites for years - both single and double and four line. Read through the thread with interest and I do have some suggestions of a general nature. I will send you a PM with these at the weekend, as they are unlikely to be of interest to other readers.

Might Finally Get off the Ground!
Quote:
Yes, anything will be most helpful. Might even get this project of the ground! Been looking for a lighter weight paper. Found some tracing paper but the freight was quoted at $320. Bought some regular rolls from Joann's that aren't very long, not listed as inkjet printable. Hopefully they will feed ok, and the ink won't bleed. Mike |
