MM Stuart VI
Here is my entry - I purchased this kit awhile ago from Knife.
It is coming along pretty quickly so far. I scanned the pages of cr@ppy MM paper and reduced the scale by about 25% (compare to 1/25 WAK 3A1). In the closeup you can see the holes in the frame do not line up with the holes in the skin (quelle suprise). You can also see the small glass beads I am using for rivet detail. The first picture shows my paint and rivet/build-up test. I am planning to paint it in a dark & light gray large pattern camo. Why - because I think it will look good. |

Very nice start. I like your idea of using beads as rivets, it guaranties that each rivet will look alike.
I've bought recently WAK's M3A1 also, but I think I'll have no courage/patience for another tank for quite a while. I'll be following closely your build. Good luck in the contest

I've often wondered about this kit....so far it looks great! Cant wait to see more. I like your idea of painting it. What type/brand of paint have you thought of using? I'm no expert, but from my experience I've really come to like Tamiya acrylics.

I've also build couple of models in b&w and in the end I've paint them , the result was very good.

Thanks guys.
So far the fit has not been terrible. Nothing that can't be fixed. For the paint test I used Testors acrylic (rattle can) but for the model I will use Tamiya. |

I'd like to take credit for the bead idea but I have seen this method used on many of the European forums. The hard part was finding small enough beads. I finally found some in a dollar store's craft section.
