Laziness is the mother of all inventions :D

This step brought up first issue...
Part 14 creating a base to mount wings is to wide and prevents sides of the segment to match the one with the cockpit.
I glued the skin in place (IPORTANT - install gun recesses before doing this) and then sanded down the troublesome part until it fitted - three runs with a sanding stick took care of the problem.
I'm adding all the additional parts provided in the kit and I also decided to cut out the black areas immitating openings in the fuselage.

This fuselage segment looks very good, indeed, Mike, but not having the kit, I am not entirely clear which is "Part 14." Is it the piece that fits in the flat area forward of the cockpit? I don't see any evidence of sanding (of course, that's the idea, isn't it?).

Yes. Part 14 is the flat piece in front of the cockpit.
Sanded edges are hidden under the skin.

Coming along very nicely, Michael. The wire insulation does look really nice, excellent idea!

Thank you guys.
Almost two weeks without an update so it's time to post one :D
Rear fuselage. Model is designed with the seam falling on top which is a good thing since it is covered by the fairing (part 20)
There are few additional parts for the little covers that I used for more 3D look - all of them are provided in the kit.

Tail.
Part 24 should be laminated with 1.5-2.0mm card - I chose 1.5mm.
There is no mention to sand down the edges but it's wise to do this as the horizontal stab has rather thin profile and those sharp edges might make the assembly difficult.
If you decide to do separte control surfaces, cut them off at the thick black line and discard, kit provides optional parts to replace them.
In this case, you will need to mark the line 2mm from the edge to place part 24.
Braces (parts 27) are a bit short to reach the marked spot on the stab so I just glued them where they end. Difference is about 1mm so it's unlikely that anybody would notice anyway
Vertical stablizer - separate control surfaces are provided but the spar is not. Scan the part beforehand as you will need the top part for the stab, and the entire thing for the control surface.

Tail fillet.
Kit provides parts only for the front of the assembly, but looking at the original there should be one for the entire length of the stablizer.
For the moment I built it as provided in the kit, but I'm thinking about adding some card to make it more like the photo of the original. After all I have the cut out control surfaces to play with :D
I will join both halves of the fuselage when the rear is completely done.

Well you're ahead I've to start mine yet.:o

Your build looks very clean and smooth. Thanks for the tips.

Do you think choose 1.5mm for the part 24 is better than 2.0 mm?

I would say 1.5mm is better.
