Smile FGMM Beech D-17 Staggerwing Av. Naval 1-100

Hello my friends! I show one of modded models from FG, at this time is a Beech D-17 Stagger Wing of Aviação Naval - Naval Aviation from Brazilian Navy.

In 1937 Brazilian Navy buy a half dozen D-17 direct from Beech to use of Correio Aéreo Naval - Navy Air Mailing, the machines arrived in Brazil in 1940 and Navy use in this fuction until 1941 after all is transfer to FAB (Brazilian Air Force).

In the nexts shots I show the building sequence:

My model is a repaint made in GIMP and Corel Draw X3 and represent a Beech D-17A used by Aviação Naval in 1940, other add-on includes rigging, ADF loop antenna, and VHF radio antenna, I rescale to 1/100, is a pretty model, and easy build with great results.

The next post the finished model...

Well done, especially at such a small scale! Unusual placement of the wings on that plane.

Beautiful job. Please inform Chip at FG about your repaint. I, for one, would love to see him offer it as an extra.

Another excellent 1/100 build. Beautiful airplane and a very good-looking color scheme.

Very nice! One of my favorite airplanes of all time, and an excellent build as well. :D I will echo ghshinn and say please submit this to Chip as a repaint if you are so inclined.

striking scheme, and I echo the sentiment that I hope Chip will add it to the folder for this model.

Well done.
