My favorite fighter. Looks like it's going 300 mph while sitting on the tarmac.

Ok the cockpit and most of the fuselage are done. I used a scaled down version of Dr. Zarkov's MiG-3 cockpit (I hope thats legal per contest rules, I didnt see anything about having to scratchbuild all mods, and its a nice cockpit).

Extremely nice!!!
I like the FG MiG 3. I've built 2 of them (Regular and Large). Sadly only one has survived. I planned on building another large on with a cockpit but was perplexed at how to make the cockpit. I like your idea.

I hope using other cockpits is legal...planning on using one in my FW Ta 183 build.

Ok finished up last night at around 3am was too tired to post then. Here we go (sorry I'm not using thumbnails but attachment isn't working for me again for some reason).other changes I made were main gear wells, tail gear doors, stacked wheels, rolled main gear struts, and different propeller blades.

This one came out beautifully! The changes you made really add a lot of dimension to the model. Congratulations on a great looking model!
