Thanks, and yes, the Cutie will be at the 2010 Convention (and hopefully a few other new builds by then too). The later FG models are very good designs in of themselves, and I usually like to add modifications to suit my taste. This one just called for the open door and interior details. I'm happy with how the P-39 came out - a testimony to the quality of the basic FG design in the first place. I just added some "paper sculpting" as Chip calls it, to enhance the design to my desire of creating a realistic looking model. Other modelers may have different objectives - and that's great. It's all very personal and adding that personal touch is the great part of making models. For me it's a constant learning and skill building process. I just wish I discovered paper modeling decades ago - it is such a perfect hobby for me!

Outstanding build John! Even though this is a recent Fiddler's Green design (which are of a pretty high standard), I still can't believe it's a Fiddler's Green model. Your mods really make the model pop, and your craftsmanship is a wonder to behold - from the photo's you'd never guess that the model is a tiny 1/72 scale. The quality is so good that it appears to be a larger scale model. It doesn't get much better than this. Congratulations!
