Cruise Ship Models

Hi All does anyone know of any cruise ship models? I am a huge cruise ship fan and any help would be appreciated. My ultimate goal is to try and do a model of the Poseidon from the 2006 movie. I have no idea where to begin.

There are plenty of ocean liners but cruise ships are a bit scarce. I would recommend trying a few JSC ocean liner ships (maybe start with the Batory), to get your bearings. Then if you want to try your hand at designing your own, you'll have some idea of how to go about it.

Best of the commercial pick imo is JSC's Queen Mary 2 - built it a few years ago and found it excellent.
British passenger ship QUEEN MARY 2 (JSC 077)

Also, Wilhelmshavener Modellbaubogen has a few modern ships on offer:

PMI offers a number of classic and modern cruise ships from Wilhelmshavener in 1/250 scale. I own a number of them and they are great quality, size and very buildable. Here is a link:

Thanks Sumato, I do not think that they have them any longer. I use to get all my models from them and when they were selling all items off I bought a bunch. Unfortunately he was out of a lot of the ones I wanted. I do love there line but can not seem to find any place in the states that sells them. Thanks

Poseidon Scratch Build

Hi Jim,

It seems someone has made a scratch-build of the Poseidon in paper here, in Poland I think (from the text):
Poseidon Model papier - YouTube

I hope this is of some help to you?

All the best,
Bengt in Stockholm
