Looking for a Lockheed!!!
Hello everyone...
Was just infromed by my 14 year old son that he needs a model of a plane flown by Amelia Earhart to include with a presentation board for a school assignment - he was kind enough to give me a week's advance notice . Does anyone know of a Lockheed Vega or Electra 10E (or anything even close...) available as a paper model? Thanks for any and all help!! Ken Griffin, Boston Massachusetts - USA |

Papermodelstore.com has a modelik L-14H super electra. You are cutting it almost impossibly thin to get the kit and have it built within a week, but I know Kris will do everything he can to expedite delivery if you decide to go that way.

Ken,
Since you have to have the model within a week's time I would say there is no way to build it - unless of course you can devote 24/7 to the job... Maybe you can take a shortcut and do a very basic model? Flat fuselage and wings/tail plus basic undercarriage? If you can find some color profiles that would make it easier...

I think you speaking about this build :
earhartvega But sadly isn't a downloadable paper model or something like that. Ken Maybe with so few time one option is to modify this one to be a more "complete" model: Lockheed Vega *** Flying Paper Cardstock Glider Regards Luis Last edited by Alcides; 03-21-2009 at 08:02 PM. |

Thanks...
Thanks for the info...
I'll order the kit from the Paper Model Store (as well as a few others to justify the postage ). May have to default to adhereing a few pictures on foam core board, cutting them out and mounting them off the surface of the display board for a depth of scale effect. These types of things stop when the kids go off to college...right? |
