model length

The model length is a totally awesome 52" as my son puts it. He has had a ton of his friends come over to see it. I have a plotter that is why it is big. I would not do it again with card stock it takes a lot of reinforcement for that size model.
I think the next one I do will just be the actual paper size I figure out the reinforcement then I will make a bigger sovereign class starship.

By the way the display I had a company build got smashed by my wife by accident so I had to throw the one you see together at the last min. She felt bad so she is having it remade and I will transfer the ship to it when it comes in. I will post a pic of the ship when the new display comes in.

guys I have one more thing

Ok I was so impressed with this ship I am going to make me one but much larger and some of the ship well have metal it to deal with the engine sag. And this one will have all lights and detailed shuttle bays. If scale is write it be roughly 8 feet long so here are some pics of what I started. I hope have here finished by this time next year. When I start this project on a steady working I will post a new thread just for her. Again thanks for all you guys and gals who kept me going and made this model accessible.

There are no pics because there was no actual shuttlebay model built for the Enterprise-E. All we ever see is the outside door in Insurrection and Nemesis. You see the doors open in Insurrection but you can't see inside. And, in both those movies the Enterprise is CGI-only. The picture you have looking out of the shuttlebay is as close to official as you'll get because that's by John Eaves and he designed the Enterprise-E. So, you basically have a license to do whatever you want.

Didn't Legal01 say he had drawings of all of the decks on the Ent-E?
