Lots of minor quibbles, but the quality of the this model is huge. All the way down to individual buttons on the controls.

The pipe around the cockpit is probably supposed to be dark gray, not really sure as the instructions on this model are vague at best. I just used a piece of the guts of a cat6 cable, so hopefully the coloring from that isn't too distracting.

Well, it has been awhile. Life really creeps up on you, so does mountain climbing season.

I have taken a break from the Bird of Prey as I have been having some issues. Planes and me don't seem to get along. I will definitely get back to it shortly, but decided to make some other stuff to clear my head.

I give you, the Kepler Space Telescope. This telescope is orbiting the sun, and has discovered literally thousands of planets around other stars.
After a failure of several of the reaction wheels (the round thingys on the model) the telescope is now stabilized by radiation pressure from the sun.

Looking at making Mark Cable's Titan IIIc off this site next.
Unfortunately looking through the model, I appear to be missing several parts.
Does anybody know anything about that?

Really impressive builds. I'm only getting started myself but was planning a lunar rover at some point. A theoretical SpaceX Mars rover would be an unreal build.

I noticed several missing, or miss labelled, but they are present on the IIIa model, so I plan to just use the parts from A.

Missing -
4x B6 - This does exist on the IIIa model
B2 - I think this is the same as IIIa, not sure.
B1-C1 connector is missing - I assume this is just a glue tab connector
Are the cable runs mentioned in Final Assembly the same as the previous ones already glued?

Naming issues -
There are 3 parts labelled B1
There are two parts labelled C7

Overall though, the model looks amazing. I just need to stop procrastinating.

He stands, but amusingly if you put him flat, he appears to be skydiving, and the recipient noticed the same thing.

I made a bluebird for my grandmother.

This is one of the amazing models designed by Johan Scherft. From his series of 4 small birds "Beautiful Paper Birds"
I do wish this model came as digital download vs only in paper, but it was a fun build either way, any my grandmother loves it. Got several people who were convinced it was a real bird until told otherwise. (All credit to Johan)

Up next,

working on the USS Seawolf (SSN-23), before I get back to the neglected Titan IIIc, and Bird of Prey.

In other news, got a new printer and a real camera should be arriving tomorrow.
