Question Need to find.....

Good dimensional data, drawings, photographs that show the 2 different bomb carriers for Little Boy and Fatman. Has anyone ran across such info ?

Thanks Bob

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm led to believe it was Enola Gay that dropped Fatman on Hiroshima.

This is my rendering of the free 1:300 scale Enola Gay put out by Bruno some time ago in his 'One model per (non-working) day' thread.

One model per (non-working) day

Hi John.....sorry to tell you but Little Boy gun type U238 device was the one dropped by the Enola Gay. Bocks Car dropped Fatman on Nagasaki. Also to elaborate on my request, I am looking to build the 2 carts the bombs were on before loading onto the B-29s.

OK, so I got them the wrong way round. My exuse is "I wasn't there!"

I've just tried searching my poorly indexed archives, but to no avail. I just know I've got models of Fat Man and Little Boy in there somewhere. There was a detailed thread way back (Posted by Nobi I think) as he designed and built the model bombs. Someone went on to design the transporter trolleys for them both. It might have been Nobi, but I'm not sure. It was a few years back now and I've been through a Big C experience since then. Anyone else out there remember the thread and can point to it?

Kel Black had a tutorial at Fiddlers Green called "Designing without CAD."
In that tutorial, he showed how he designed LITTLE BOY.
It appears that the tutorial is no longer available.

"Fat Man" and "Little Boy" with their ground carts were available in 1/24 scale from Swallow Models on eCardmodelers. Perhaps they can be revived?
