What is expected from each model in game...

I would like a few things from the models...

First they should be vector if at all possible - if using older models already developed its not required

Second they should be layered so that the purchaser can print different liveries for different races

Third they should have slight modifications (as layers) so that each races ship will look a bit different (different configs/colors) possibly even different configs for space/atmosphere/ground configurations or different types of armaments (just brainstorming for that last part)

Fourth each ship will have a 2.5 d representative marker with artistic illustration (or basic at first) with differnt colored bases to represent sides to be used in lieu of full blown model if desired.

Scale 30MM
Chris

Wargames typically employ heavy weathering to aid realism, so would hi-res raster graphics be allowed?

Also, 30mm might be a little small with regards to the details that people can build comfortably. For some the only thing they might be able to build at that scale is a cube...

Lex - for those that are building small challenged (like me) there will also be 2.5 d representations that can be used in place this will also allow for less space needed when storing your armies when not in play!

This is a quick and dirty test to see what the scale would look like. Take the entire thing to be 30mm, from what I have read from the cardmodel forums this model could already be difficult for some. Though I'm not sure who, if any in particular, is the game aimed at?

Nice Lex. That is the spirit.

But I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that you didn't get the whole idea of the scale. Look for he scale thread and see the dirty sketch I've done.
