World's tiniest planes

I'm also gonna start a line of models of the worlds tiniest planes

-Bede BD-5 and BD-5J (worlds smallest jet)

-Colomban MC-10 Cri-Cri (world smallest 2 engine plane, prop and jet)

-Bumblebee- Soon as I find a 3-view, or make one up

That last pic of the flying bumble bee, does it really fly? This is the first time I have seen it, I am going to google it for more info, it really looks like it could take off from a side street.

I've seen the actual plane in person (It's on display at the Pima air museum in Tuscon, Arizona) and I asked the same question. The website for it The World's Smallest Piloted Airplane has videos of it actually flying

Thanks for the link. I see that we are not the only ones to question the flying capabilities of the bumble bee, but like the bee and the helicopters they do fly.

The Cri-Cri already has a nice (and free) paper model. Includes two versions and a hanger/trailer. If I scrounge around I may be able to find the old RC Modeler magazine that had a good construction article on the bumble bee.

Oh, you're talking about real, flying airplanes. I thought you were dead-set against Bralle-Scale. Took me aback for a second.
Braille-Scale Rules!

I think it would be easier for me just to bite the engine mounts, glue the wings on my side and find somewhere to stick the rudder, than get into that Bumble Bee, though the stripes might make me look fatter than I am.

I never flew Cessna 150's because they were too small!!

Well, there was a bit of a problem once at the museum when the Bumblebee disappeared. Then they found out the janitor had accidentally swept it under the carpet.
