Murph - Was it you that was planning to do a CH-37 Mojave? I am looking into learning this 3D designing. There's a real gap in the Armor model area - primarily the Patton family of tanks, Brit. late war tanks such as A-34 Comet & Centaur, and post war Centurion and Chieftain. Also any of the Israeli Armor. I want to learn so I can provide these in 1:25 scale. Any suggestions on what program to acquire? Thanks -

I do plan on doing the Mojave, but in a while. I seem to be in a rut at the moment. I can design all the way up to putting the model on paper, then I lose steam regarding parts layout and instructions. I have lots of models that are almost ready to publish, I just can't get the motivation to finish them off.
I use 3 programs. Rhino3D (a friend got it for me), Inkscape(free on the internet), and Photoshop (another friend got it for me). I do about 90% of designing in Rhino, then export as a .wmf, which Inkscape can open. Unfortunately, the only thing I could figure out how to do in Inkscape was convert .wmf's to .pdf's, which Photoshop can open. Then I finish up the model in Photoshop. |
