I've got it at 1/32 right now, and there are some fiddley parts. If I do 1/72, I'll probably scrap the interior, and go with box wheels and treads.

Not just any half track. It looks like an M3 75mm Gun Motor Carriage, the vehicle that became the insignia of the Tank Destroyer Forces.

I'm glad I got that right. I scoured the internet for an hour to find it's official name (I used a set of model instructions from that revell site posted earlier for the 3-view, and it just called it a US Army halftrack.

I had a wild hairbrained idea last night, and I thought I'd bounce it off the forum and see where it lands...
Are there any major cardmodel design companies based in Romania, and does anybody think they'd hire me? This goes out especially to the Romanian members of the forum.
I can't seem to find work here in the US, and I have romantic ties to Romania, not to mention a belief that Romania is tied somehow to my future. I think I've mentioned that I can't go a day without coming across a mention of Romania (was watching am episode of Emergency! last night, and one of the people they rescued was from there, then I picked up a book on paranormal police stories, and the first one was from Romania.

Check with Dr. Z (Modelart). I believe he is in Romania.

Forgive my ignorance, but is Modelart a big printed model business? I was hoping for one with an actual physical presence so if I move over there, I'd have a place to work. Then I can run OBP in my off hours.
Another option is England or Great Britain, unless they're the same place (I failed high school geography).
On another note, I just found a book full of 3-views of WWII German armored vehicles, any thoughts on a companion for the M3 Halftrack?

I'd like to see a companion for the Halftrack. Maybe one with a anti-aircraft gun mounted in the back

Just ran across this site yesterday -- a German site devoted to the history of card modelling with this page on publishers worldwide:

Arbeitskreis Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus (AGK) e.V.

No Romanian publishers listed, but 6 in Czechoslovakia and (of course) MANY in Poland. That gets you to East Europe, anyhow ...
