My father in law worked as a driver his entire life - started on agricultural equipment, and finished on a milk tanker. I think he drove more miles on fresh snow than I've driven in my 11 years of driving. Most of the time he was doing in excess of 100 miles a day, leaving at five-six in the morning, day in day out. Quite a bit of his life he worked two shifts (of six hours each). Cows know no Sunday, no Easter, no Christmas.

I'm gonna spend the first year as a long haul, over-the-road driver, driving 11 hours a day, and averaging 500-600 miles a day. Kinda fun thinking of sleeping in a different town or city every night.

After getting a years experience, I'll be able to get any driving job I want.
