Salina is nice little town. Gassed up at the Pilot last May when I was there. The Kansas Flywheelers Museum is just across the Interstate from there if you ever develop an interest in farm equipment and tractors (that's farm type).

If someone wants to kill some time looking at old stuff. An old American La France aerial at the museum and a massive grain elevator just south of the Interstate.

Are you doing to drop south and run 40 across or stay on 70?

Texman...I have an 80 percent completed Have Blue on my system right now. Need to get some panel and gear information to complete it. But I've been unable to locate anything I can use.

Once I finish it, I was planning to release it at 1/50th scale.

I followed the 70 heading east, and it was cold and snowy the whole way.

So for the return trip, I ran the 40.

I'm sitting at the TA in Ontario, California waiting for the 60-day service and inspection for my truck at the moment. But heading up to Fontana, CA later, then down to Phoenix tonight.

Tomorrow's the busy day. After dropping the load in Phoenix, I get to go to Laredo, Texas.

That's a haul. Swear its longer from El Paso to Laredo then it is Phoenix to El Paso. Or maybe it just seems like it since there is nothing out there.

If you ever get the chance and have some time in Las Cruces or El Paso, check out the War Eagles Museum in Santa Teresa, NM.

It is....El Paso to Laredo is 9 hours. El Paso to Phoenix is 7 hours. Shoot...to get from El Paso, TX to Beaumont, TX its amlost a 12 hour drive!
The west Texas drive is boring since there is nothing out there on I-10...but it is faster going 80MPH speed limit now.

I so want to go to the War Eagles museum. I pass the sign for it every time I drive out that way. I've seen more museums from the side of the road than I care to think about. Pima, the SAC museum in Omaha, EAA Airventure in Wisconson, etc.

It's still a long boring drive when you're governed at 65 mph.

Hey Whulsey, sounds like the War Eagles Museum is pretty neat. What do thy have in their collection? I'd like to check it out sometime.
