The reason I didn't put the AJ savage on the list is because I've already started on it. This list was more of a "should I design a model of it?" list. I have lots and lots of 3-views, I'm just not sure which ones I want to design, or which ones should get tossed to clear some HD space.

Your choices are either simple models, or pre-printed full detail kits (with the exception of Model Art's F15 kits). But even MA's are as expensive as the pre-printed stuff.

I'd like to see a line of these 4th generation fighters, especially those mentioned above, around 1:48 or 1:72 scale, with armaments, gear, and cockpits. Similar to the F-18 kits that Chris Stahl has recently developed, at a reasonable price on par with the other ecardmodels offerings.

So that all said, my vote is YES on the F-14!

Edit: I'm also very interested in your recently offered F16XL models on ecardmodels. I plan to buy one to see how it looks - it sounds to be exactly the quality of kit I've been describing. Any plans to modify it to a production F16 kit?
I'm kinda leary on tackling models like the F-4, F-15 and F-16 because my design style is similar to Fiddlersgreen. It'd be like reinventing the wheel, just with more spokes, and I made a promise to myself that despite my differences with Chip, I would try not to compete with him directly. Their versions of the F-15 and F-4 are pretty much the same way I would design them. The F-14 I'll do, because it really needs an update. No plans on retrofitting the F-16XL to the F-16, because despite being based on the same plane, they are still drastically different (besides the wing, the XL is also longer).

Murph, my vote is for SAAB J29 Tunnen (for starter) and the Shorts. Your proclivity for civilian subjects is welcome. As always - 1:48 scale or larger, please!

I go for the biggest size I can. Unfortunately large planes tend to limit this. (I still haven't finished the Mojave helicopter because I can't get it above 1:70 in scale...too many tiny parts). Big round fuselages tend to make for smaller scales.

edit: Got the confirmation email from ecardmodels. The F3D's should be up soon.

Hi, Aaron!
Methinks there's no real need to do doublettes of the SAAB jets, because all of them are available in printed commercial versions; you may have a look at the GPM homepage for the various Polish paper models of SAAB aircraft (from Tunnan to Gripen) in 1/33 and at the Wilhelmshaven site for the J-35 Draken and J-37 Viggen in 1/50.
And there's a 1/33 scale paper model of the J-29 Tunnan available at IPMS Austria in Austrian livery (like the GELI, whose Tunnan and Draken are to be reedited).
(As an aside: Schreiber had a J-32 Lansen in 1/50 in the late fifties, but the new editor generally disapproves of warplanes...)

Kind regards,
Papercaptain
