The Quail! That's still one of my favorite little drones. It was always fun telling people about it on tours at the SAC museum here.

Make it c whatever scale you want. It would be a fun project to scale it to the FG B-52.

Aaron,

Clearly, your designs are getting a lot of exposure on Ecardmodels, but do you realize more $$$ if we buy them directly from your site? (That's what I've always done since you started Murph's Models.)

Yeah. My "plan" is to let new models stew on my site for a week, then ship em out to Chris and Andrey. We all know how the plans of mice and men go though...

Now your B-52's won't be defenseless anymore. The Quail decoy missile will protect them.

And as an added bonus for those who want a desk model, it's 1/8 scale. I think my first model (other than the Starr Bumblebee) to make it into the single digits for scale.

Just gotta do some finalizations, and it'll be up before too long.

I didn't know you had a bumble bee. Quail looks nice. It was an air launched decoy carried by the B-52 back in the dark ages of the Cold War.

It's amazing how the B-52 can carry heavy cargo on it's wings. I was amazed when I saw how the X-15 was launched.

By the way the Quails were carried inside the fuselage of the B-52, with the wings folded, If I remember right.

You are correct Nando. On early buffs, they were carried in the aft bomb bay (two of them). The -G model could carry four.
