I would say yes on the F6U. Your right, so many colors, it would appeal to a large audience.

Does anybody with handy access to a SR-71 think they could get me straight on high res shots of these markings?
The one at my local air museum is too high off the ground, and doesn't have access to get good angles. And out of the 20 SR-71 books I have, these markings aren't included. |

That one looks familiar Unfortunately, for that particular plane, that's about as good as it gets. You can get on level with the markings, but then it is too much of a side angle.

I'll drive by a SR-71 on Friday, and will see what I can get for you.

Wellp, I've decided to stop inflicting my lack of build skills on the SR-71.
Don't worry, it'll come with both engines and wings. Length is just a tad shy of 17 and 1/2 inches, so it scales out to about 1:74 ish. Just for fun, I'm gonna do this one, which is an SR-71A tail number 61-7951 and is the one down at Pima, and this one which is a YF-12C, tail number 06937 as flown by NASA The fun part is they're both the same plane. |

Hmmm, I spot an F-107 behind the blackbird. Too bad nobody has modeled this plane . . .

Hey Aaron, I live close to the Air Force Museum in Dayton, and I might go there soon. Are there any particular planes that you might want to see for designing?
