Good news! I took my laptop to an electronics shop, and after blowing a half pound of little paper triangles out of it, they found what was wrong (a short in the power plug), and have the part to fix it. I should be back operational in a couple hours!

Who would have thought they would have found PAPER triangles in YOUR computer. HUUUMMM!!!
Great news about your laptop.
I hope to be retiring in about four months and if all goes well I may have a spare MacBook Pro I could send your way. Can't promise, but I will certainly keep you in mind if I do.

I couldn't help myself. I tried to do a pic of a C-46, but my GIMP skills have taken about 10 steps back as of late (no practice). But, I did come up with this. Imagine it on the port side of the nose of a C-46 of the same background color.

I love the idea, but I don't think any of my programs would run on a Mac.

Get a Mac and spin up a Windows or a Unix VM.

Back in Action! I'm working on a few versions of the F4U Corsair. So far I've got Jolly Rogers, and Black Sheep Squadron done.

I have plans for a few more:

Racer 22 is iffy. Dunno if I can pull off the markings.

Murph - To the best of my knowledge (I will defer to John Bowden or other expert), the light gull gray color scheme for USN and USMC aircraft began in 1955, after the Korean War Armistice (27 July 1953) and AU-4 9411 was based at Anacostia and not in the Pacific. There are lots of Korean War era USN and USMC Corsair color schemes. All dark blue, I think. Don
