Nice-looking Corsair, Murph!
Paperguy - When, where was the image photographed? I think I see two Barracudas, a Martlet/Wildcat, the Corsair, a Seafire in the foreground, and possibly another in the rear. Looks like another Martlet behind the hanger to the right and possibly another Barracuda nosing out of the hangar to the left. Fascinating collection of Fleet Air Arm aircraft. Don |

None of the versions I did had clipped wings. All 7 of them I think I'll stop now.

Gee, I wonder how many spark plugs are in that picture . That looks like a wonderful collection to repaint. What is the source and year for the photo. Almost looks like it might have been preparing for a fly-by.

What are clipped wings, maybe a dumb question but dummies like me would like to know.

The "clipped wings" on the corsair refer to a section of the outer wing, about 18" if
I remember correctly, being removed so the folded wings of the aircraft would allow it to be stored below deck of the British carriers. It gave a squared appearance to the normally round wing tips.
