I never heard of that one. Anybody know if there's a 3-view available?

Yup, also found in searches as RCA TDR-1. Quite a few pictures with google and found this drawing.

And it would be unique in your UAV collection because you can include an optional canopy .

IF you do the TDR you gotta do the Avenger as a Mothership to control it.

Thanks for these excellent images, Paperguy.
Apparently, the Navy deployed 50 of these to the Russell Islands in the Solomons [presumably where your fifth image was taken] and expended 46 of them with 18 hits against Japanese forces on islands that had been bypassed in the Allied advance. The Army tested one as the XBQ-4 (presumably it was in olive drab and gray), but did not pursue the program. Interstate BQ-4/TDR (Source of image of Army XBQ-4; good list of sources.) I need to do another emergency fundraiser. (My job sucks, but at least it doesn't pay well), so what I'm planning on doing is designing a giveaway model. Everybody who donates any amount can put in a suggestion, and once I raise the amount I need ($300),
the model with the most suggestions will be the one I design and give away as a freebie. I'll list the suggested models on my site so everybody can keep track. |

wups! I donated but missed the little box to place a suggestion. If I can do that here, I would like to see the Avro Arrow given the Murph treatment.

Had one of those flash of inspiration moments.
Just doing a quick engineering check. There are some complicated curves on this thing, so I had to break some parts up. Most of the extra part lines will go away once I get it unrolled. |
