You can see a little triangular shadow from the strakes beginning to the "U".
You, sir, are correct!

The A-37 had few visible airframe changes other than slightly larger engine nacelles to accommodate the axial flow engines out of a T-38 swapped in for more thrust.

Reading the 'historys' there also was likely a change to the thrust axis to point a bit more 'downward' - probably helps on take-off with a full load. Interesting, I didn't notice the engine change used the same as the T-38.

So, excluding the protoypes, there were three basic USAF versions:
T-37A
T-37B
A-37B

Sound about right?

Grr. I finished the Tweet and Dragonfly. Unfortunately, my printer ran out of colored ink. so I can't do final builds to show off.

Oh well, onwards to the Whale

Just found out that one of my buddies did his initial AF jet training in the Tweet. I saw one pic of the flight line full of them. They had a nice scheme. I'll see if I can get more info on the paint jobs. Apparently he was in the last group of pilots to train in the Tweet.
